Dores down Dogs 4-0 in ITA Kickoff Weekend consolation round

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The No. 21 ranked Vanderbilt women’s tennis team notched a bounce back win in the consolation round of the ITA Kickoff Weekend on Sunday, sweeping Yale 4-0.

The Dores move to 3-0 all-time versus the Bulldogs and pick up their first win in the series since 2013. Vandy secured the first doubles point of their last three matches with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Sophomore Valeria Ray continued her singles cruise, downing the Bulldogs’ Julia Werdiger 6-4, 6-1. Ray has wins in eight of her last nine singles matches, including her current streak of six straight.
