Commodores set to host Music City Challenge

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — It’s the final tune-up before the SEC Indoor Championships as Vanderbilt track and field hosts the Music City Challenge on Friday and Saturday at the Vanderbilt Mulitpurpose Facility.

Events are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.

General admission tickets are available at the facility for $5. Doors will open at 3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday.

Spectators can park in the 25th Avenue Garage (levels 9-11) prior to 6 p.m. and then in Lot No. 75 off of Natchez Trace after 6 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, spectators can use Lot No. 75 located across Natchez Trace from Vanderbilt’s outdoor track venue.

Last weekend, four individuals and one relay team earned medals for the Commodores at the Texas A&M Charlie Thomas Invitational. The Commodores also finished with six new marks among the school’s all-time top 10 lists and finished fifth among 14 teams with 62.5 points.

Vanderbilt will return to College Station at the end of the month for the conference championships, Feb. 28-29.
