Beatrice Juskeviciute and Brooke Overholt will compete in the Lithuanian and Canadian Outdoor Championships

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Alumnae Beatrice Juskeviciute and Brooke Overholt will represent Vanderbilt on the international stage as they compete in the Lithuanian and Canadian Outdoor Championships in July.

Juskeviciute, of Kaunas, Lithuania, holds six program records, including that of her signature event, the heptathlon. She is the reigning SEC champion and NCAA silver medalist in the event, boasting a personal-best score of 6,117 points. Currently, she is the top-ranked Lithuanian heptathlete.

The Lithuanian Outdoor Championships will take place July 28–30 in Palanga. Juskeviciute’s heptathlon competition will begin on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. CT with the 100-meter hurdles.

Saint Mary’s, Ontario, native Overholt ranks second among all Canadians in the 400-meter hurdles. She is a first-team All-American in the event, an honor she received after placing fourth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a career-best time of 55.50 seconds. She also holds the No. 2 spot in school history in the event.

The Canadian Outdoor Championships will be held in Langley July 27–30. Overholt will compete in the 400-meter hurdles semifinals on Saturday at 3:50 p.m. CT. Live results will be available online.

Juskeviciute and Overholt hope to earn spots on their respective national teams for the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, in August.
