Commodores recorded 11 personal or season-best marks on Saturday

CLEMSON, S.C. — Vanderbilt track and field’s Jayden Hill and its 4×400-meter relay squad gave school record performances on Saturday at the Bob Pollock Invitational. Commodores also registered five program all-time top 10 performances.

The day started with a high jump win by Mackenzie Dagrosa. Her 1.77-meter mark is a collegiate best and tied for third all-time at Vanderbilt. With a 1.74-meter jump, which matches her collegiate best, Cali Bryant placed second in the high jump.

In the pole vault, Olivia Kosanovich cleared a collegiate best 3.82-meter bar to move into eighth on the program’s all-time top 10 list.

Pryncess Jackson led Vandy’s crew of triple jumpers with a personal-best 12.73-meter jump. She finished third overall and is now tied for second in program history in the event. Also recording a personal best, Lena Gooden jumped 12.12 meters, which is ranked No. 7 all-time at Vandy.

Sarah Marvin notched a 15.17-meter throw in the shot put to place seventh. In the same event, Marta Sivina recorded a personal-best mark of 12.01 meters.

On the track, Hill matched the 800 meters school record with a time of 2:04.24. She was the top collegiate and second overall finisher with her personal-best mark.

In the 200 meters, London Jackson-Bray clocked 24.38 seconds, moving into a tie for seventh on the program’s all-time top 10 list.

The 4×400-meter relay team of Faith Franklin, Janie Ford, Falon Spearman and Josie Donelson ended the weekend with a second-place finish, recording a time of 3:32.54, which broke the school record.

The Commodores are back in action at home to close out the regular season when they host the Music City Challenge on Feb. 13–14.
