CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Vanderbilt women’s tennis team concluded the first day of the Kitty Harrison Invitational, hosted by the University of North Carolina. The Commodores faced tough competition out of the Atlantic Coast Conference in Duke and Georgia Tech.
Duke boasts four players ranked in the preseason Campbell’s/ITA rankings, while Georgia Tech has the No. 92 player in the nation.
Friday morning, the Commodores played three doubles matches against Duke followed by six singles matches against Georgia Tech. Vanderbilt concluded the day with six singles matches against Duke.
On Saturday, the ‘Dores will face Pepperdine in doubles and Virginia in both doubles and singles. Complete results will be posted to vucommodores.com.
