PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – The doubles team of Taka Bertrand and Catherine Newman lost a match in the consolation draw of the Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships, falling to No. 52 Megan Alexander and Lolita Frangulyan from Florida. In singles, Bertrand was defeated in the consolation draw by No. 61 Macall Harkins from TCU.
Held at the Riviera Tennis Club, Bertrand and Newman, ranked No. 58, suffered their second straight loss, losing 8-2 to Alexander and Frangulyan. No. 73 Bertrand was defeated in straight sets by Harkins 7-5, 6-1.
