Commodores Kick Off SEC Play at Home

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sixth-ranked Vanderbilt women’s tennis kicks off SEC play this week by hosting Missouri on Friday and Arkansas on Sunday at the Vanderbilt Currey Tennis Center.
 
The Commodores open conference matches against a 10-1 Missouri team having lost only one match, a 4-2 setback against Old Dominion.
 
Missouri holds a seven-match winning streak and is 2-1 on the road.
 
On Sunday, the Commodores face a 7-4 Arkansas team.
 
The Razorbacks boast a 2-3 record on the road this season and are currently riding a four-match losing streak.
 
Coming off a tough 6-1 loss to No. 4 Stanford, the Commodores look to bounce back as they begin conference play.
 
Vanderbilt enters its first SEC matchup with a 5-3 record after losses to No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Georgia and No. 4 Stanford.
 
Featuring five student-athletes ranked in the top-100, Vanderbilt looks to earn a strong start to SEC play this weekend.
