Gross Garners AAC Glorification

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Bri Gross has been named American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week after her performance in Vanderbilt’s 20-11 victory over Kennesaw State last week.
 
The El Dorado Hills, California, native stuffed the stat sheet for the Commodores for the second straight game. She scored her second collegiate goal while setting a career-high with four assists for a personal-best five points.
 
She also ended the game with two ground balls, one draw control and one caused turnover.
 
Sophie Furlong also found herself on the AAC Weekly Honor Roll for the second straight week. The sophomore attacker tied her career-high with five goals against Kennesaw State. Furlong also tallied one assist for a game-high six points.
 
It was the second straight week she scored five goals after scoring five against Wagner in the Dores’ 2019 debut.
 
The Commodores hit the road for the first time this season when they face Furman on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. CT.
