Women stay perfect

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 15-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores finished their opening homestand with a 6-1 victory over the Belmont Bruins as the Dores extended their winning streak to 4-0.

Senior Jackie Wu and sophomore Alex Leatu paired up in doubles for a speedy 8-0 victory in the N0. 1 position for Vanderbilt. Junior Nelly Radeva and freshman Ashleigh Antal clinched the doubles point in the No. 2 position with their 8-2 win.

Antal once again finished first for the Dores, finishing her No. 4 singles match 6-1, 6-0 sixteen minutes before any other match ended in the two hour and twenty-six minute dual.

Senior Megan Gornet won her match against Laura Stack 3-6, 6-3 (10-3), forcing a tie-breaker after dropping her first set.

Vanderbilt heads to Northwestern this weekend to face DePaul and a dominant Wildcats indoor team in their first road trip of the spring dual match season.
