Commodore Notes
Vanderbilt scored a record 55 runs in a three-game sweep at Mississippi State over the weekend in Starkville, Mississippi. The Commodores broke multiple offensive records, including most runs in a road contest, with a 26-3 win in seven innings Friday night at Dudy Noble Field. Parker Noland broke the Vanderbilt single-game RBI record with 11 runs driven in. Noland became just the fifth player in SEC history to hit two grand slams in one game. RJ Schreck also homered twice and drove in eight runs. The Dores continued to hit well in Game 2 on Saturday, defeating the Bulldogs 18-5 in another rout. The Dores scored nine runs in the ninth inning. Vanderbilt completed the sweep with an 11-7 victory on Sunday with Davis Diaz homering twice.
Parker Noland was named SEC Co-Player of the week after stellar weekend. Noland hit .533 with three home runs and 14 RBIs.
Vanderbilt hosts Lipscomb at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Field with action airing on SEC Network+. The Commodores then host Georgia for a three-game series beginning Friday at 6 p.m.
