Commodore Notes
The Commodores went 3-2 on the week, splitting its midweek games against Central Arkansas and Troy before winning the series against North Dakota State over the weekend.

Ryker Waite hit .500, going 8-for-16 with a pair of doubles and four walks. Brodie Johnston was 7-for-15 at the plate with two home runs. Braden Holcomb also homered twice, driving in a team-high seven runs. After dealing with injuries over the past two seasons, Chris Maldonado homered in three consecutive games after not leaving the yard since 2023.

Connor Fennell totaled 11 strikeouts over six innings in the win over North Dakota State on Friday. The righty is up to 30 K’s on the season over 21.1 innings.

Vanderbilt has launched 42 home runs this season, ranking second in DI. The Dores are second in the SEC and fifth nationally in slugging at .617. Vandy’s 99 walks are 22nd among DI programs.

Defensively, Vanderbilt has turned 20 double players this season, tied for most nationally.

The Dores host Indiana State on Tuesday before beginning SEC play against LSU this weekend at Hawkins Field.
