Commodore Notes
Vanderbilt went 1-3 on the week, snapping a three-game losing streak with an emphatic 13-0, run-rule victory at No. 23 Ole Miss on Sunday. Connor Fennell was named SEC Pitcher of the Week after tossing a seven-inning, complete-game shutout on Sunday. Fennell struck out a career-high 12 batters and held the Rebels to three hits with just one walk.
The Vanderbilt offense exploded on Sunday with all nine batters in the starting lineup recording at least one hit and scoring at least one run.
The Commodores enter this week ranked No. 15 in the D1Baseball poll and hold a 31-13 overall record including a 12-9 mark in the SEC. Vandy hosts Indiana State on Tuesday before No. 18 Alabama comes to town for a three-game series beginning Friday.
