NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt’s baseball team has been selected as the No. 2 overall seed in the 2013 NCAA Tournament.
The Commodores (51-9) will open NCAA Tournament play at 6 p.m. CT Friday (ESPNU) at Hawkins Field against ETSU, the No. 4 seed in the Nashville Regional. Joining the Commodores and ETSU in the Nashville Regional are second-seeded Georgia Tech and third-seeded Illinois.
The winner of the double-elimination Nashville Regional will face the winner of the Louisville Regional.
Vanderbilt is hosting an NCAA Regional for the second time in three years and for the third time in school history.

NCC Tailgate
Join us before Friday’s game at 4 p.m. for an NCC tailgate on the Gate 2 lawn, directly off of Jess Neely Drive between Gate 2 and the Star Walk. The tailgate is $15 per person for adults, $10 per person for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. Enjoy food from Famous Dave’s and unlimited soft drinks and beer.
