Not once, not twice, but three times. Aaron Westlake put together one of the most impressive individual performances in Vanderbilt’s history last Saturday against Oregon State when the senior first baseman hit three home runs in a 9-3 win over the Beavers.

The win sent the Commodores to the College World Series for the first time in school history, and Westlake’s three-home run game was the first by a Commodore since Jeff Martin hit three against Valparaiso in 1991.

Westlake’s three home runs were all two-run shots to right field. View box score.

Westlake is the fourth player in school history to hit three home runs in a game. He joins Steve Chmil (4/29/1981), David Joiner (3/25/1987) and Martin. Watch video.
