Before Saturday’s game against Eastern Michigan, Vanderbilt freshman kicker Eric Frieman had never donned a jersey on the sideline of a football game. Not in college, not in high school and not in Pop Warner.
A former high school soccer player from Scarsdale, N.Y., Frieman walked on to the football team in the spring and made his football debut on Saturday with two kickoffs in a 52-6 win over Eastern Michigan. VUCommodores.com caught up with Frieman this week to discuss his debut.
