Vanderbilt wrapped up the team’s trip to Washington DC on Saturday with tours of the Arlington National Cemetery, Air Force Memorial and Pentagon Memorial. The team also took a brief tour of the US Capitol building.
The Commodores walked all over Arlington National Cemetery seeing grave sites of former Presidents Taft and Kennedy, including the Eternal Flame. Along the way, the team also viewed graves of Robert F. Kennedy and Abner Doubleday before witnessing the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Vanderbilt begins the end of fall practice this week when the team opens the Black & Gold Series presented by Chevrolet on Thursday at 4 p.m.
