NASHVILLE – Saturday night’s Vanderbilt game against LSU has been suspended due to inclement weather and is set to resume on Sunday at 10 a.m. from Hawkins Field.
The Commodores and Tigers will pick back up in the bottom of the eighth inning with LSU leading 6-2. The series finale will begin at its originally scheduled noon start time. The game is slated for seven innings.
Vanderbilt captured Friday’s opener, 4-2, but had allowed 11 LSU hits when lightning was detected in the area on Saturday. Play was officially halted at 9:54 p.m. with two down and Connor Kaiser at the plate.
