NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt football coach Clark Lea has announced a dozen updated staff roles within the Vanderbilt football program for the 2022 season. The group includes seven members who are returning for their second season with the Commodores.
Brendan Flaherty (offense), Greer Martini (defense) and Jeff LePak (special teams) return in 2022, all in analyst roles. In addition, defensive graduate assistants Austin Gatewood and Jimmy Thompson will be back in Nashville, along with defensive quality control staff member Caden Thomson and offensive quality control staffer Kirk Garner.
Lea announced earlier this week that Josh Smith and Robert Armand would join new defensive coordinator Nick Howell’s staff as defensive quality control. Also new to Vandy this season are Trenton Kirklin (offensive quality control) and offensive graduate assistants Tito Overton and Dylan Autenreith.
The Commodores open spring practice on Wednesday, with the annual Black and Gold Spring Game on April 16 at Vanderbilt Stadium.
