Vanderbilt Top Five Again

Vandy comes in at No. 4 in D1Baseball's program rankings

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt comes in at No. 4 in the latest edition of D1Baseball’s Top 100 Programs.

The rankings, which began in 2015, serve to “identify the programs in the best shape right now, with an eye toward the next five to 10 years”, according to D1Baseball.

D1Baseball has put out a top 100 list in 2015, 2017, 2019, 2022 and 2024. In all five rankings, Vanderbilt has been selected inside the top five including being No. 1 in both 2015 and 2022. The Commodores are one of only two teams to crack the top five in every release.

Since the previous edition in 2022, Vanderbilt has added another SEC Tournament title and extended its NCAA Tournament appearance streak to 18 consecutive seasons, the longest active streak in NCAA Division I.

“…as the premier academic institution in the nation’s best baseball conference, with a Hall of Fame head coach and state-of-the-art player development facilities, Vanderbilt will remain a major force in the SEC,” Aaron Fitt noted about Vanderbilt in the rankings announcement.
