Vanderbilt Tennis Great Julie Ditty Faces Off Against Tennis Living Legend Martina Navratilova

Julie Ditty, ’01, traveled to the U.S. Open in Queens, N.Y. and faced off against Martina Navratilova in doubles play.

          Ditty partnered up with <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags” />USA’s Samantha Reeves who played college tennis at Lewis & ClarkCollege in Portland. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office” />

 

Ditty was a tennis legend in her own right at Vanderbilt. She currently holds the record for most singles wins for career (114) and season (31). Ditty was also a two time All-American (’99, ’01). She has collected approximately $50,000 in prize money since her graduation from Vanderbilt in 2001.
