Vanderbilt Tennis Great Julie Ditty Faces Off Against Tennis Living Legend Martina Navratilova 9/22/2004 Julie Ditty, ’01, traveled to the U.S. Open in Queens, N.Y. and faced off against Martina Navratilova in doubles play. Ditty partnered up with <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags” />USA’s Samantha Reeves who played college tennis at Lewis & ClarkCollege in Portland. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office” />
Ditty was a tennis legend in her own right at Vanderbilt. She currently holds the record for most singles wins for career (114) and season (31). Ditty was also a two time All-American (’99, ’01). She has collected approximately $50,000 in prize money since her graduation from Vanderbilt in 2001.
