– For the second-straight game Vanderbilt started juniors Jeffery Taylor and Lance Goulbourne at forward, Brad Tinsley at guard and red-shirt junior Festus Ezeli at center…sophomore John Jenkins started at guard.
– Jeffery Taylor leads the team with 73 career starts…Brad Tinsley made his 65th career start…Festus Ezeli appeared in his 71st game; including his 21st start…John Jenkins has made 17 starts and played in 41 game…Goulbourne made his second career start and 64th appearance.

– The Commodores now move to 2-0 against the Lions.
– Vanderbilt won the opening tipoff and now moves to 7-0 when doing so.

– Vanderbilt won the opening tipoff for the seventh time this season and took the ball down and scored on a Festus Ezeli layup with 19:47 remaining.
– With Vanderbilt leading 6-1, John Jenkins hit the first three-pointer of the game with 16:50 remaining to keep the three-point streak alive.
– The Commodores opened up the game with an 11-1 run that spanned 3:52 and featured six points by Jeffery Taylor.
– Steve Tchiengang was fouled shooting a three with 14:43 remaining and made all of his free throws to record the first bench points for Vanderbilt.
– Rod Odom made his second three-point bucket of the half with 11:44 remaining to give Vanderbilt a 27-8 lead.
– Brad Tinsley scored on a fast-break dunk to give the Commodores a 36-10 lead with 8:12 remaining.

– Steve Tchiengang scored back-to-back three-pointers over a 34 second span to give Vanderbilt a 68-37 lead with 9:54 remaining.
– With 1:42 remaining, Jordan Smart drained a three-pointer to record the first points of his career and help give Vanderbilt an 82-46 lead.
