First-half notes:
· The Commodores scored first on a fast-break layup when Brady Tinsley dished it to Jeffery Taylor with 19:08 remaining.
· With 16:42 remaining, Lance Goulbourne, Kyle Fuler, Steve Tchiengang and Rod Odom checked into the game.
· Down 16-4 with 14:52 remaining, Lance Goulbourne made Vanderbilt’s first bucket in four minutes.
· With 12:17 remaining, John Jenkins crossed over a Grambling State player and sunk a shot to cut the Vanderbilt deficit to 21-15.
