TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Vanderbilt lost 55-3 at No. 2 Alabama Saturday night at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Alabama opened the scoring on a 20-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. The Commodores responded with a 40-yard field goal by Joseph Bulovas to cut Alabama’s lead to 7-3.
The Crimson Tide tallied three unanswered touchdowns and took a 31-3 lead into halftime. Alabama maintained control in the second half en route to a 55-3 final score.
Anfernee Orji led the Commodore defense with 13 tackles, matching his career high. CJ Taylor recorded a career-high nine tackles.
