Outfielder Tony Kemp, Conrad Gregor started one game as the designated hitter and lefty Kevin Ziomek started against SDSU on Saturday… Vanderbilt was originally scheduled to play two games on Saturday but the weather forced a switch with the Dores playing only the Aztecs on Saturday at Tony Gwynn Stadium and playing a doubleheader against San Diego on Sunday… The Dores rallied for four runs in the ninth inning to beat SDSu on Saturday with Kemp driving in the go-ahead run… Ziomek was impressive in his collegiate debut allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits with five strikeouts in 5.1 innings in a no decision against SDSU… Vanderbilt’s pitching dominated the Toreros in the doubleheader with senior Taylor Hill tossing 7.1 innings, allowing one run on five hits with no walks and eight strikeouts to earn the win in Game 1 and junior Grayson Garvin coming back in the second game pitching six perfect innings before an infield hit off his glove ended the bid.
