FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Vanderbilt’s baseball game against Arkansas, scheduled for 1:05 p.m. today, has been canceled due to rain.

Per Southeastern Conference rules, the game will not be made up.

The Commodores took the first two games of the series, marking the first time in seven trips to Fayetteville that they have accomplished that feat. VU has now won five straight games against the Razorbacks dating back to the 2007 SEC Tournament championship game.

Vanderbilt is now 21-13 overall and 7-7 in league play. The wins over Arkansas (24-8, 10-4) were the first against a No. 1 ranked team since beating Rice in the season opener in 2007.

The Commodores now have 53 games on the schedule, three under the NCAA maximum of 56 for the regular season. Head coach Tim Corbin may schedule some additional games in the midweek to get to the full 56-game slate.

Vanderbilt returns home for a five-game homestand starting with a game against Middle Tennessee on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Hawkins Field. VU will then play Morehead State on Wednesday at 6 p.m. before hosting Alabama next weekend in a three-game set. Tickets are available and can be purchased online and through the Vanderbilt ticket office at (615) 322-GOLD.
