NASHVILLE – Vanderbilt’s Southeastern Conference home series against Florida and Auburn have been shifted one day up with the opening matchup of each set scheduled for national broadcast, the program announced Wednesday.
The Commodores’ series against Florida will take place Thursday, March 21 through Saturday, March 23. Vandy’s three-game set against Auburn will open on Thursday, April 25 and run through Saturday, April 27. Both series will take place at Hawkins Field.
The network designation and start times for Thursday night games will be determined at a later date but are tentatively set for 6:30 p.m. Friday’s middle game and Saturday’s finale of both series will be 6:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. starts, respectively.
Florida at Vanderbilt:
Thursday, March 21 – 6:30 p.m. (tentative)
Friday, March 22 – 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 23 – 1 p.m.
Auburn at Vanderbilt:
Thursday, April 25 – 6:30 p.m. (tentative)
Friday, April 26 – 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 27 – 1 p.m.
Vanderbilt opens its 56-game schedule on Feb. 15 against Virginia at the MLB Collegiate Baseball Classic from Talking Stick, Ariz. VU’s home opener will be Feb. 20 against Evansville. The 30-game SEC slate gets underway March 15-17 as the Commodores visit Texas A&M.
The final chance to catch Vanderbilt in action this fall will be Thursday when the team opens its Black and Gold Series at The Hawk. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday as well as 1 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free to all fans.
