Vanderbilt’s 2022-23 Roster

The Commodores are transitioning from a “young” team to one that combines both youth and experience.  Seniors Mabel Cummins and Amelia Kiefer return along with juniors Jennifer Loredo, Amanda Naujokas and Caroline Thesier, sophomores Paige Peters, Kaylee Hitt and Kailee Channel and freshmen Alyssa Ballard, Jenna Hedgepeth and Victoria Varano. Channel recently underwent corrective hip surgery and will miss the entire season as she recuperates.

Dezy Strong Tournament History

  • Vanderbilt won the inaugural tournament a year ago, leading wire-to-wire.
  • Angelica Anthony recorded the program’s second 300 game.
  • Anthony, Cummins and Peters made the all-tournament team.
  • The Corum Country Lanes are home base for Naujokas, and relatively near the New Jersey homes of Peters and Varano.

Lady Liberty is on the Schedule

Vanderbilt Coach John Williamson typically plans an educational side trip when feasible, taking his teams to historical sites that many on the roster likely haven’t seen in person. The Commodores have a Thursday morning reservation to tour the Statue of Liberty before moving to the bowling center for an afternoon practice.
