Tony Mansolino Named to College Baseball Foundation National Honor Roll 3/8/2005 Lubbock, Texas – Vanderbilt third baseman Tony Mansolino (6-0, 190, Clovis, Calif.) has been named to the College Baseball Foundation National Honor Roll for the week of March 8. Mansolino helped lead Vanderbilt to a 4-0 record last week, including a sweep over Ball State. Mansolino went 7-13 at the plate, including a 4-4 outing in Game One of the series. He had one double, one home run and five RBI. He also numbered six assists at third base. The Commodores have started the season with a school record 11-0 mark. The College Baseball Foundation is dedicated to preserving college baseball history and to recognizing standout teams and individuals who have influenced the collegiate game. The CBF will release a regular National Honor Roll, March 1-June 14th, saluting the finest performances of the past week’s action. Established as a 501(3)(c) charitable educational organization, the CBF hopes to not only catalog the sports’ history within its’ newly announced College Baseball Hall of Fame, but to provide an aggressive and enduring advocacy for the college game. It views its primary mission as fostering an appreciation of the historical development of college baseball and its impact on our culture, and increasing public awareness, exposure and generating additional opportunities for college baseball. |
