MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Marie Casares, Courtney Colton and Megan Gornet picked up individual wins on Saturday at the Memphis 
Invitational.
Casares, Colton and Gornet each won their lone singles match of the day. Casares defeated Mariya Milutinovic of Ole Miss 5-7, 6-3, 6-2, while Gornet beat Ole Miss’ Allie Robbins 7-6, 3-6, 6-3. Colton defeated Michelle Farley of Tulsa 6-0, 6-2.
Casares will play Michelle Farley of Tulsa in the consolation final Sunday morning at 9:30. Gornet will not have another singles match, as she went 2-0 on the weekend in singles play. Colton faces Milutinovic at 9:30 a.m.
Ashleigh Antal and Maggie Leavell all suffered defeats on Saturday. Antal fell to Memphis’ Tiffany Welcher 6-7, 6-2, 6-1. Leavell lost to Maria Rivera Perez (Tulsa) 6-7(4), 6-1, 6-1.
Antal will play at 11 a.m. on Sunday versus Memphis’ Alyssa Hibberd. Leavell will compete against Paige Keating of Ole Miss at 11 a.m.
In doubles action on Friday evening, two of the three Commodore teams picked up wins. Colton and Mira defeated Farley and Saarteinen of Tulsa, 8-1. Antal and Casares beat Kuricova and Sant’Anna, 8-5, while Gornet and Leavell were defeated by Rivera Perez and Benito, 8-1.
Sunday will be the final day of competition at the Memphis Invitational.
