Sammy Lizarraga

Sammy Lizarraga joined the Vanderbilt baseball program in 2022 and provides quality control for the Commodores.
Prior to being elevated to a full-time role, Lizarraga spent the fall of 2021 as a player development intern with the staff.
Lizarraga came to Nashville after spending three years with Driveline Baseball in Washington, serving as the head of pitch design while working with collegiate and professional athletes from around the world.
Lizarraga was a member of the Iowa baseball team for two seasons from 2016-17, where he studied sports management.
A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lizarraga comes from a baseball-oriented family. His parents serve on the board of a large USSSA league and his brother coaches at the NAIA level.
