Macon Shackelford

Macon Shackelford joined Vanderbilt Athletics in April 2025 as assistant director of special events and stewardship for the National Commodore Club.

She had worked the previous two years at the Belle Meade Historic Site and Winery, where her role includes sales and event management, staff education, and planning and organizational assistance with the design of a new tasting lounge. While there, Shackelford received WSET Level 3 Award her first year on staff.  She also has experience as a specialist with Trinchero Family Estates in Napa, California.

Shackelford earned her degree in hospitality management from Auburn, also carrying a business minor. In addition to serving as a student assistant in the school’s office of special events, she worked both The Masters Tournament and at the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival on multiple occasions prior to graduation.
