John Cicciaro
Physical Therapist / Athletic Trainer (Football)
John Cicciaro came to Vanderbilt Athletics as athletic trainer for the football program and physical therapist in July 2024.
For two years prior to coming to Nashville, Cicciaro held multiple roles at Florida including serving a sports physical therapy residency during the 2022-23 campaign and a sports physical therapist the following season when he worked with the Gator football program. In addition to working as the head athletic trainer at the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind from 2016-21, he has professional experience with the Brooks Rehabilitation Outpatient Clinic – Center for Sports Therapy, Orthopaedic Associates of St. Augustine, UF Health Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Institute, PT Solutions, CORA Physical Therapy and Riverside Physical Therapy.
Cicciaro is a 2014 graduate of Marshall with bachelor’s degrees in athletic training and exercise physiology, and he received a doctor of physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2021. He is a licensed physical therapist and certified athletic trainer, board certified clinical specialist in sports physical therapy, and a National Strength and Conditioning Association strength and condition specialist.
