Jake Jola

Jake Jola joined the Vanderbilt football program in the summer of 2022, serving as the program’s assistant director of football operations.
Before arriving to in Nashville, Jola served as the Director of Football Operations in his home state of Pennsylvania at Wilkes University.
Jola spent seven seasons in baseball operations with the Miami Marlins from 2016-2021 and the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2015. In Miami, he helped manage the organization’s player development and international scouting departments. He also oversaw day-to-day operations of the minor league system and the Marlins’ Player Development Complex in the Dominican Republic, player and staff travel, budgeting, and MLB compliance. While with the Marlins, Jola helped sign several top 100 MLB prospects along with helping the Marlins reach the 2020 postseason for the first time in 16 seasons.
A native Berwick, Pennsylvania, Jola graduated cum laude from Duquesne University in December 2015 with a bachelor of science in business administration while double majoring in International Business and Sports Marketing. He played football for the Dukes before starting his baseball career working at Diamond Kinetics and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
