Jacob Nicely

Jacob Nicely joined Vanderbilt Athletics as director of marketing in 2021.

He came to Nashville after serving as assistant director of marketing strategy and fan experience at Maryland, and also has experience as a marketing associate at Clemson and promotions assistant at Georgia. He was part of NACMA’s 2020 Marketing Team of the Year while at Maryland—the staff was also runner-up for the honor the following year—while also winning multiple awards from the association, while his efforts have helped teams top the country or rank among the nation’s leaders in attendance at all three schools.

Nicely graduated from James Madison with a degree in sport and recreation management, and he earned a master’s degree in athletic leadership while at Clemson.
