Ed Higgins joined Vanderbilt in 2014 as the director of facilities and game operations, and currently serves as associate athletic director for capital projects. In addition to those duties, Higgins oversees all athletics construction projects.

Prior to arriving at Vanderbilt, Higgins worked in marketing, outreach and sports sponsorships for Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Higgins began his career with Andersen Consulting before transitioning to healthcare. Following graduate school, he directed Champions Tour and LPGA Tour golf events in Middle Tennessee.

A native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Higgins earned undergraduate degrees in accounting and finance from Kentucky and a master’s in sports administration and facility management from Ohio.

Higgins is married to Heather Richards Higgins. They are the parents of three children — MacKenzie, Riley Kate and Hudson.
