Spring Game Set for April 12

Scrimmage to begin at 1 p.m. at FirstBank Stadium

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Fans will get their first chance to see the 2025 edition of Vanderbilt football on April 12 at the annual Black and Gold Spring Game. The scrimmage will begin at 1 p.m. at FirstBank Stadium.

More details surrounding the event and broadcast will be available closer to the game.

The 2024 SEC Coach of the Year, Clark Lea is entering his fifth season at the helm of his alma mater’s program. Lea led the Commodores to their first winning season and bowl victory in over a decade last fall as they defeated Georgia Tech in the Birmingham Bowl.

The Dores are slated to return last year’s SEC Newcomer of the Year in quarterback Diego Pavia, as well as first-team All-SEC tight end Eli Stowers. Pavia set Vandy records for rushing yards by a quarterback and fewest interceptions in a season (minimum 250 attempts), while Stowers had the second-most receiving yards by a Commodore tight end since 1996.

Defensively, the top three tacklers from a season ago return in Bryan Longwell, Langston Patterson and Randon Fontenette. Vanderbilt also returns SEC All-Freshman kicker Brock Taylor, who owns the school record with five career field goals of at least 50 yards.

The Commodores open the 2025 season on Aug. 30 when Charleston Southern visits FirstBank Stadium. Season tickets are available now. In addition, options remain available in selected areas of the new south end zone premium seating which opens this fall. More information can be found here.
