2015-16 (Senior): For the fourth-consecutive season Leavell added support behind the scenes for Vanderbilt squad… Named to the 2016 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll… Played four singles matches and six doubles completion during her final fall with the Commodores… Nearly knocked off Iowa’s Aimee Tarun/Carin Runefelt, 8-6, with Ellie Yates.

 

2014-15 (Junior): Named to the 2015 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll as a junior…. Finished six fall singles matches for the ‘Dores, competing against four SEC opponents… Teamed up with juniors partner, Ellie Yates, and defeated Princeton’s Sara Goodwin and Caroline Joyce; 6-4 during the June Stewart Invitational

 

2013-14 (Sophomore):Named to the 2014 Spring Academic Honor Roll … Finished nine matches on the year, including two at the No. 6 singles position.

2012-13 (Freshman): Closed out her freshman campaign with an overall record of 3-7 in singles and 5-6 in doubles … Picked up first career dual win against Belmont, 6-4, 6-1.

High School: Named the team MVP during junior and senior years at Hutchison School in Memphis, Tenn… Two-time TSSAA Division II Doubles Champion… Helped her team to the 2009 TSSAA Division II AA Championship… Lettered all four years in tennis and two years in basketball… Named the captain of the tennis team during both her junior and senior year… Member of the Honor Roll all four years.

Personal: Margaret Leavell… Born on April 29, 1993… Parents are George Leavell and Janet Wepfer Leavell… Has two sisters: Lee and Neely, who is her twin sister… Majoring in engineering science… Her favorite tennis player is Roger Federer… If she could trade places for a day with someone, it would be her twin sister.
