Ely swam for Homewood High School under head coach Robbie Gibbons… During her time at Homewood, the team made it to finals at State and Ely was able set a record for her age group in the 100 Y breast… Set two personal records last season… Swam the 200 Y free with a time of 2:17.61 and the 100 Y breast in a time of 1:19.96. Best times in free; 50 Y free (25.56) and 100 Y free (55.45)… Best times in breast; 50 Y breast (30.28) and 100 Y breast (1:05.86).
