#13 Jonathan Vastine Season 2024-25
INF
Jonathan Vastine Pronunciation
Head coach Tim Corbin on Vastine: “We have had very good defensive shortstops in this program through the years, and Johnny is as good as any of them. He makes the routine play but can extend himself well beyond other infielders with his body control, athleticism and arm strength. When he decided to come back to Vanderbilt, our team got better immediately. He has all the tools to become a dynamic offensive player as well. The field is a playground for him. He enjoys the game, he loves getting better and he is a very good teacher to the younger players. We are fortunate to have him back. I have really appreciated his leadership skills on and off the field.”
