Head coach Tim Corbin on Vastine: “Johnny moved into the shortstop position last year as a sophomore and played very consistently. He is a dynamic player and one of the better athletes on our team. He can run, throw and has quick strength in his body. He does things on the field, that others cannot. He doubled down during the summer and played extremely well for the championship Bourne team in the Cape. When everything comes together, he can greatly impact the game in a positive way. His maturity in the classroom will lead to an even better product on the field.“
