Coach Corbin Quote: “Joe was not an active player last year after having to redshirt due to an injury in the fall. We look forward to watching him compete for a role on our pitching staff this year. He spent the summer in the Palm Beach League, which gave him a good opportunity to get back into game situations on the mound. We have seen some of his best pitching late into our fall season and hope that with more game experience he can expand upon his success and harness his abilities. Joe is very competitive in all areas of his life as shown by his academic success as well.”

• Selected in the 16th round (pick 488) of the 2019 MLB Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays
• Made two appearances (April 9 at Middle Tennessee and April 30 at Tennessee Tech)
• Struck out the side as part of a hitless relief inning April 9 at Middle Tennessee

As a Freshman (2018)

• Did not compete while recovering from injury
