2007: Hit .265 with three homers and 14 RBI in 26 games, including 16 starts … Went 2-for-4 with a homer against Michigan (6/2) in the NCAA tourney … Was 5-for-11 with five RBI and five runs scored in three starts in the SEC tournament … Hit three-run homer against Ole Miss (5/26) … Was 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored against Tennessee (5/25) … Came off the bench in all three games against Florida and was 3-for-4 (.750) with a double and two RBI … Hit first homer of the season against Tennessee Tech (4/25) … Suffered a broken foot against Xavier on March 3, sidelining him for 27 games … Returned to the lineup in a starting role against Tennessee (4/20) … Was 1-for-1 with a run scored against Austin Peay (2/27) … Had two hits, including a double and RBI against Ball State (2/24) … Had a double and RBI against Lipscomb (2/21).
2006: Finished with a .274 batting average and had three homers, six doubles and 22 RBI in 41 games … Started in 31 of the contests, 30 in rightfield and one in left. Had seven multi-hit and five multi-RBI games … Hit .245 with two doubles and seven RBI in 17 SEC games (13 starts) … Was 2-for-3 with a RBI against Florida (4/2), his last multi-hit game in conference play … Went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBI against Auburn (3/25) … Other three hit game came against Brown (3/10) … Three homers came against Brown (3/11) and Ball State (3/4 & 3/3) … Recorded two-hit games against Ball State (3/5 and 3/2), Kansas (2/26) and Pittsburgh (2/24) … Played a limited schedule with the Winchester Royals of the Valley League over the summer. High School: A Three-year letterwinner in baseball, as a catcher, and football, as a linebacker, for Head Coaches Eric Borba and Bob Ladoceur, respectively at De La Salle High School… Named all-state in baseball as a junior and was a first-team all-state pick as a senior… As a junior hit .475 with seven home runs and 34 RBI, then as a senior hit .310 with seven home runs and 37 RBI… Played in the Area Code Games and was named to the Team One Top-10 West team… Led team to league championships as a senior… Member of back-to-back-to-back football national championship teams from 2001-2003… Second-team all-state linebacker as a junior and senior… Named Contra Costa Times Defensive Player of the Year in 2004… Was school[apos]s Athlete of the Year as a senior.
