Dores win two of three afternoon matches on opening day at Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. — Alexandre Hillhouse and Paul Wang won their first singles matches to pace Vanderbilt men’s tennis on the opening day of Georgia’s Southern Intercollegiate Friday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

Hillhouse—making his Commodore debut—picked up a straight-sets victory over the No. 2 seed in his bracket, while Wang earned a win in the first of two round-robin matches in his pool. Hillhouse also teamed with Callum Rendle to split a pair of doubles matches in the morning.
