NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two goals from Sydney Watts lifted eighth-seeded Vanderbilt soccer over Lipscomb in a 4-1 victory on Friday night at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex.
Vanderbilt improves to 10-3-6 overall, the fifth time in the Darren Ambrose era with at least 10 wins in a season.
After a scoreless opening 28 minutes, Sydney Watts found the back of the net to get Vandy on the board. Just over a minute later, Junior Maci Teater tallied her first goal as a Commodore to put Vandy up 2-0 heading into the break.

Caroline Betts found Courtney Jones at the top of the box who connected off a dribbling goal to mark Jones’ fifth goal of the season. The Dores’ final goal came from Watts, off a downfield service from Rachel Deresky. Watts outran two defenders and launched the ball to the upper corner to earn her second brace of the year.
