Today we feature a photo gallery of the team’s busy first four days in Japan. After a long flight from home, the team arrived in Tokyo May 22 and capped the day by dining on Japanese pancakes known as okonomiyaki.

On our first full day in the country, the Vanderbilt contingent toured temples and landmarks in Tokyo and was privileged to enjoy a private reception at the U.S. Embassy with US Ambassador and Vanderbilt alum William Hagerty ’81, JD’84. Later in the day, the Commodores played Ventus FC in their first international match of the trip.

In the last two days, the Vanderbilt party has toured the Tsujiki Fish Market, enjoyed a lunch of sushi, visited the Tokyo Zoo and capped a fun-filled four days by going to Tokyo Disneyland.
