NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt track and field senior Marta Sivina was named to the All-SEC first team, the league announced Tuesday.
Sivina from Ogre, Lativa, won the heptathlon at the SEC Outdoor Championships over the weekend, improving her personal best to 5,935 points. Her performance ranks second-highest in the East Region and the fifth-best score in NCAA Division I. At the SEC Championships, Sivina notched personal bests in both the 200-meter and 800-meter races.
The Commodores are back in action May 28 and 30 at the NCAA East Region Meet in Lexington, Kentucky.
