SEC Kickoff Sets Nashville Plans

Live show and concert set as 2023 football season begins in Music City

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The 2023 SEC football season begins in Nashville.

While Vanderbilt will be the first Southeastern Conference team to take the field this fall, Music City will also host the 2023 SEC Football Kickoff highlighted by a fan event on Lower Broadway.

The 2023 SEC Football Kickoff presented by Regions will be in Nashville for the first time with media days July 17-20. Surrounding media days, the SEC will take over the heart of Music City on Tuesday, July 18, with a special edition of SEC Nation presented by Regions and a concert by GRAMMY-nominated band Midland.

The event will open at 5 p.m. with the stage near 4th Ave. and Broadway. SEC Nation presented by Regions will air at 6 p.m. on ESPN2 and SEC Network, with the concert following at approximately 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

In addition to hosting SEC Kickoff, Nashville will also be home to the literal kickoff of SEC football season as Vanderbilt is the only team in the conference with a Week 0 game. The Commodores and head coach Clark Lea host Hawai’i on Aug. 26 at 6:30 p.m. Click here for ticket information.
