2010
Saw first action of Commodore career as reserve defensive tackle… As redshirt, played in nine of 12 games, missing encounters with Northwestern, South Carolina and Wake Forest… Playing time increased as starting DTs Adam Smotherman and T.J. Greenstone suffered injuries… Finished year with seven total tackles, including four solo stops… Had career-high three tackles at Georgia… Also contributed pair of stops in win over Eastern Michigan.
2009
Did not see action in second year on campus… Participated as practice squad defensive tackle… Has added 20 pounds through weight room efforts in last year.
2008
Loftley redshirted as a true freshman, and impressed coaches during practice as candidate at defensive tackle.
High School
Named permanent captain after season… Started at DE and TE… Three-year DL starter… Earned four varsity letters… Team went 12-2 in 2007, most wins in school history, and advanced to AAA semifinals… As senior, contributed 45 tackles and four QB sacks… Two-time All-Area recipient… Played in DeKalb County All-Star Game… Accumulated more than 250 total tackles in career… Threw shot and discus in track.
