2006 (at Penn): Went 1-3 with a 10.75 ERA as a sophomore … Made 11 appearances, including five starts and struck out 21 with 22 walks in 37.2 innings.

2005 (at Penn): Made 12 appearances including three starts … Finished with a 1-5 record and a 4.13 ERA with 22 strikeouts and eight walks in 32.1 innings … Featured in Sports Illustrated[apos]s Faces in the Crowd section on Oct. 3 for leading his summer league team, the Bayside Yankees (Queens, N.Y.) to the National Amateur Baseball Federation Senior Division World Series title … He went 9-0 and broke the team[apos]s all-time record for earned-run average that was set in 1987.
